Capital Planning for Addressing Rural Health Needs

Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4-5 PM EST

Rurally-located health centers are tasked with serving communities with a unique set of needs specific to their service areas and remote locations. In this session, we will highlight a recent capital project for Desert Sage Health Center, a clinic providing essential services to the rural Elmore and Owyhee counties in Idaho, which tailored the structure of its new facility to suit the distinctive needs of its service area. In addition to reviewing Desert Sage’s project experience, we will also be joined by Alan Morgan, CEO of the National Rural Health Association, who will discuss the connection between rural health issues and facility designs, as well as the current issues rural health centers are facing.

Presenters: Dave Kleiber, Senior Project Consultant, Capital Link, Alan Morgan, CEO of National Rural Health Association
