In spring 2020, the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) and Capital Link completed a third year of the Capital Expansion for Health and Housing Partnerships learning collaborative for health centers interested in expanding their health services in collaboration with housing facilities. Health and housing facility partnerships are aimed at addressing gaps in a community’s housing and health infrastructure and provide opportunities to advance health centers’ engagement in social determinants of health.

The Capital Expansion for Health and Housing Partnerships Learning Collaborative explores the benefits of co-locating health center and housing facilities, relationship building with housing providers, capital planning for coordinated facility expansions, assessing market needs, leveraging resources, and more. Through a series of webinars and virtual discussions, facilitated by CSH and Capital Link, the Collaborative served as a forum for a peer group of health centers to exchange expertise and solutions to challenges. This learning collaborative is sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and is offered at no cost to health centers.

This learning collaborative has two primary components:

  1. Group Learning: Through a series webinar sessions (see schedule below), you will learn the basics of partnership building, capital planning, financing, and project development.

  2. Individualized Planning Services: Each session will include exercises and planning templates that you can adapt for your individual organization, partnerships, and projects. You will also have the opportunity to receive individualized guidance from CSH and/or Capital Link, including office hours, to help connect the materials to your own project planning and financing.
